The Sacred Heart Early Childhood Program is an early learning program, under the umbrella of the Iowa Department of Human Services (DHS). A certified, trained individual will serve as the director of the program with oversight from school administration. All childcare personnel will have the training necessary to meet or exceed DHS requirements, with the expectation to be Christian role models for the children. Each child needs to be two the first day they start childcare at Sacred Heart and can start at any point during the year as long as space allows. Childcare will be provided Monday - Friday 6:30AM-6:30PM for $3.50/hour and year round.  Meals and snacks are provided for all children in the program. All meals will be prepared in the kitchen at Sacred Heart School. The cost for meals and snacks is included in the fee for childcare and preschool.

Rooms are limited by state guidelines to 12 two-year-olds per classroom. The Center can accommodate a total of 24 two-year-old children.

The Early Childhood Center will operate year round, including dates when school is not in session for staff in-service or inclement weather. The Center will be closed for New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
